Suprabhatam (Auspicious Dawn)


MS Subhalakshmi's melodious voice was ringing in my ears when I painted this.....

Hiren: Cant agree more. In fact, just ystd I was speaking to someone about this, and he commented that the sky should have been more toned and not left as flat light bluish/ orangish as i have done. My repsonse was exactly what you have pointed out, ie at sunset the sky would typically have the more varied color tones and hues, as opposed to a sunrise and hence it was painted in more pallid tones :)

Didnt say MS' songs used to "blare" in the "morning in my house" :)) Thats your tam bram interpretation of it :)! Self projection, eh?

Thanks anyways. Putting up the others now. Finished one still life ...and on the way to finishing touches on another. Will put up tomm as soon as thr is light to take a pic.

Btw, the carnival is AWESOME!
